Achievable Goals for 2009: The Plan of Attack

Today is a slow news day for the SEO and Internet Marketing world so I figured I’d write about my goals for this site for next year. The key to setting goals is to set them as high as possible while maintaining a real chance of accomplishing them. If you are constantly setting goals and never enjoy success then you are much more likely to give up. So keeping that in mind here are a few of my goals for 2009:

* Reach 200 visits per day to the site
* Reach 60 RSS Subscribers
* Get at least 2 of my friends blogging
* Start at least two more blogs for myself
* Generate $5 a day from this blog
* Post at least 5 posts per week
* Start video blogging (at least 1 per month)
* Increase comments (Ideally this will come with traffic)
* Create a social media footprint (currently on 0 [Zero] sites)
* Network, Network, and more Networking

Late Night, Small Fire!

Well as you can see this post is filed over in Misc. That would be short for Miscellaneous Ramblings. I’m in the process of moving from my tiny apartment into a larger condo. Yes moving sucks, and moving through the holidays sucks even more. I have to be out of my apartment on the first. And no the Apartment Management will not be there on the 1st but I still have to be out. So back to last night… I meet up with the contractor that upgraded the condo to it’s current state, everything looks good, a couple hiccups here and there but the two major issues, the heat is not working nor is the hot water in the master shower. I know what you’re thinking, yes the gas is on and yes the hot water heater is on/working. I’m getting hot water in the other sinks/tub. He manages to fix the heater in a few moments, bad wire and fuse. No problem, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and we’re all most there.

Small Business Internet Marketing Checklist. Start 2009 Of Right!

2009 is almost here, and I hope small business owners have already been thinking long and hard about their plan of attack for the new year. Those who have are ahead of the game. If you haven’t given the new year much thought, start now.

Successful online marketing is about developing the right combination of strategies (thinking) and tactics (doing). In this column, I’m going to focus on a short list of the latter — quick things you can do now to help set the stage for a successful 2009. Since the holidays are upon us, and you’re probably busier than normal, I’ll do my best to keep it short, simple, and sweet.

News flash folks, Google AdWords is not perfect and can be exploited. There are times when people can go into the AdWords system and trick Google into serving up ads for phishing sites and malware downloads. Yes, this happens and happens often enough.
