A Sad Day, The McDouble has Arrived

I usually don’t write about things like this, but this seriously affects me. I’m not the biggest fan of McDonalds simply because I remember the Big Mac when it was big and when they had those sales with $.39 hamburgers and $.49 cheeseburgers. Now pretty much the only think I get from the house that Ronald built is the double cheeseburgers.  That was until today. I went it today and instead of $.99 the double cheeseburger was now $1.19 and in it’s place a sad sack referred to as a McDouble that retails for $.99

I’m so sad furious I’m about to cry. A 20% mark-up overnight is ridiculous. Gas and dairy prices are in a decline as are jobs, that no less pay for the $.99 double cheeseburgers. So consumers with less money are now asked to pay more for the same product…. This is crazy.  And the McDouble;  hmm…   The McDouble is basically a Double Cheeseburger with only 1 slice of imitation cheese instead of 2. So in reality you can get 25% less product for the old price, or the old product at the new 20% increased price.

And I’m spent!
