Nothing too crazy going on here today, so I figured I’d give a few updates to some older posts. Probably the thing I most want to write about was my Microsoft Live Cashback Search experience. In the post I talked about how great it was, and how I found what I was looking for through Live, bought it now on ebay, paid using pay-pal, all that.  Turns out I did qualify for the cashback I just have to wait til Feb. 1st to get it. And for those of you keeping track I made the purchase around Dec. 5th so we’re talking about almost 60 days I’ve been waiting.  Quick lesson yes I got an awesome camera at an awesome deal with awesome cashback, I just had to wait 60 days.  So basically it was no different than a rebate form, and wait, other than the fact that it was advertised as being instant cashback.   Will I use the service again, maybe if all the stars line up, but I will definitely not go out of my way to use the system.

In another post about me moving in and my small fire there seems to be no real water damage from the fire fighting and everything is in good working order. The only bit about bad news, is that I don’t have a drain for a washer. So I have been doing my laundry in the condo’s shared laundry facility. I think I will get the drain installed, I’ll just use my own contractor.

I didn’t make it to Affiliate Summit, my car broke down and I wasn’t able to raise the funds to both secure my travel and pay for the reapirs to my car, there’s always next year

In my post about goals for 2009 I spoke about starting a couple new blogs, as of Yesterday I have created 1 and I am in the process of getting it set-up and it will be live this weekend. (check back for a link) I also mentioned getting more involved in social marketing and I have a little bit at least. I joined Twitter and now you can follow me

I created a post last friday about link building that post has been my most popular, I have the most comments on that page, I got 3 new rss subscribers and about 20 total followers on Twitter after that post. Needless to say I think I will make that a monthly event.
