Well let me start by saying that I am a google fanboy and I don’t really use Live search. I read on www.gizmodo.com that live search and ebay were doing a special promotion on 1 dec, so i figured I’d check it out. It went something like this, use live search to find a product, then click on the paid ebay ad to find what you were looking for, from there use the buy it now option and pay with pay-pal and you were set up to get cashback.
So I found a Nikon D40 Kit, with a bunch of extras, buy it now for $500 and free shipping. In the store they are currently on sale for $474.99 plus tax and no extras. So already I’m getting s pretty sweet deal, then to top it off I got $150 cashback from live. So in the end I got close to $650 worth of gear for $350 with free shipping. Not a bad day if i don’t say so myself.
The cash back is not instantly rewarded and as I write this the cash back reward is still pending, but on the same note, it took two days for the seller to process the order.
All in all I’m happy with the service. In order to get the cash back again you must follow these rules:
1. Have a cashback account: Free Setup, 2 minutes.
2. Use live search to search for product.
3. Click on the ebay sponsored ad.
4. Purchase with Buy it now option.
5. Pay with pay-pal
Again pretty easy to get some great savings.

I too saw the whole cashback thing and thought there was a catch but went thru with the whole purchase in fact I made about 5 purchases from Ebay with the buy it now option.
After 60 days they have now sent the money to my paypal account.
So all in all it works, I had some resevations as it looked too good to be true but I actually got back 20% from my purchases. I think they have lowered the cashback program to 8% now but am unsure at this writing..
